Serving you shimmer and a lot of red bottoms(I wish), you can tag it Christmas dinner/NYE outfit; well let’s leave the outfit aside and let’s talk Christmas. What has Christmas evolved to over the years?

I am truly grateful for the birth of Jesus and how his birth represents hope, reconciliation with God and redemption for all mankind; even to the name he was given at birth, ‘Immanuel’ meaning “God with us”, how awesome!
Today, it is expected to have a jolly good time with friends and family in most parts of the world, some people are at work, others in class and some people are literally stressed from planning and cooking for a perfect Christmas dinner but many fail to reflect or even remember what the reason for this season really is; lets not even talk about parties, parties have become a big part if not the highlight of Christmas celebrations, they are held in the office, organizations, among friends, business associates and even schools.
It is literally impossible to turn away invitations so therefore, attending parties during the Christmas season has become a social obligation. Parties are actually fine, there’s no problem with that but the true enchantments and essence of the Christmas celebration somehow gets lost in all that excitement.
We forget or better still ignore the true meaning of this season, true celebration of Christmas summed up for mea time to thank God for bringing Jesus into the world safely, spend time with family, make other happy, time to give back to your community, , helping people who are not as privileged to enjoy Christmas as much as you. family, showing gratitude, compassionate love, sharing, making people around you happy in any little way you can and most importantly, remembering the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ and to truly reflect on the reason Christ was born.
